Our home base is 883 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury, and the 24/7 line covers the town and the neighbors listed below. Drive times on this page are estimates from that address in free-flowing traffic, not promises.

If you are on a town line, a ZIP boundary or a road that your mail carrier calls something else, read on. Most of the confusion in this area comes from villages, post offices and utilities that do not follow town borders.

What we mean by service area

A service area is where a plumber can reasonably get to you and finish the work. It is not a ring on a map. A burst pipe in Weatogue and a slow drain in Windsor get the same phone line, but dispatch will tell you honestly what is open that day.

The 24/7 emergency line covers every town listed here. Same-day appointments are offered when available, and arrival times are never promised on the phone because traffic, weather and the job before yours all matter.

The four Simsbury ZIP codes

Simsbury has four post office ZIP codes. 06070 is Simsbury, 06089 is Weatogue, 06081 is Tariffville and 06092 is West Simsbury. Those match the post office names on the Connecticut Secretary of the State list.

A ZIP is a mail route, not a town border. A house with a Weatogue mailing address is still in Simsbury, and the same goes for Tariffville and West Simsbury. Give dispatch your street and number as well as the ZIP, so we can confirm the town, utility and sewer arrangement.

Simsbury villages we serve

Simsbury Center, East Weatogue, Tariffville and Terry's Plain are National Register historic districts, and every village below is part of our coverage.

Simsbury Center

The Hopmeadow Street core, with the library at 725 and the Phelps Tavern Museum at 800. Commercial buildings here often have shared shutoffs, so ask the owner where they are.

Weatogue and East Weatogue

Weatogue has its own ZIP, 06089. East Weatogue Street saw Lucy Brook overtop it in summer 2021, so basements nearby deserve a working sump pump.

West Simsbury

ZIP 06092. Water and sewer arrangements vary by street, and private wells and septic systems fall under the Farmington Valley Health District. Tell dispatch which applies to you.

Tariffville

ZIP 06081, a mill village on the Farmington River. The Tariffville Water Commission serves part of town, so check your water bill to see who supplies you.

Terry's Plain

The site of the first Simsbury settlements. Older plumbing is possible, so a fixture that keeps failing may point to the pipe behind it.

Nearby places we serve without their own pages

East Granby borders Simsbury across the Farmington River, with ZIP 06026 and a drive of about 7 miles. Farmington is also within our reach, and West Hartford calls are welcome too. None of these has a page here, but the line is the same.

Collinsville is a village in Canton. Street addresses there use 06019, and 06022 is a PO Box ZIP. Poquonock is a village in Windsor, with 06095 for street delivery and 06064 for PO Boxes. If your mailing address uses a village name, you are inside the town we already serve.

Which water utility and sewer authority serves your Simsbury street

Water in Simsbury does not come from the Town. The Town says public water is not serviced by it, and that in most instances Aquarion Water Company is the provider. Connecticut Water and the Tariffville Water Commission also serve parts of town, and private wells fall under the Farmington Valley Health District.

The easiest test is your water bill. The company name at the top tells you whom to call about meter leaks and street-side problems. Aquarion's 2025 report puts Simsbury hardness at an average of 10 grains per gallon, within a range of 4 to 16, which is useful when you shop for a softener.

Sewer is also patchy. Not every property is connected to public sewer, and the Water Pollution Control Facility can tell you whether yours is in the sewer service area. Septic systems are serviced by private companies, not the Town. We ask sewer or septic on every drain call because the fix differs.

If your town is not listed

Do not assume we cannot help. Call the 24/7 line, give your address and the problem, and dispatch will tell you whether a licensed plumber can reach you. If the answer is no, you will hear it quickly, so you can call someone closer.

Emergencies get that answer first. A burst pipe in a town we do not list is still worth a call, and while you talk, close the main valve and keep people away from wet electrical areas. You can also read about how the service works or return to the full list of services.
